Job Summary
The Procurement Manager - Services & Indirect Materials is responsible for leading the sourcing, negotiation, and management of all non-production goods and services. This includes corporate services, facilities, IT, MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations), marketing, travel, and other indirect categories. The role ensures optimal value, quality, and risk management while supporting operational efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
A. Key Responsibilities (Key Result Areas/ Key Performance Indiactors)
1. Category Management & Sourcing
- Develop and implement category strategies for services and indirect spend. (Annual cost savings / cost avoidance (% of category spend))
- Conduct RFQs, RFPs, and e- auctions to maximize value. (% of spend covered under formal contracts.)
- Identify and execute cost-saving and value-adding opportunities. (% of sourcing events completed on time.)
2. Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
- Negotiate and manage contracts to meet SLAs and KPls. (% of contracts with measurable SLAs/KPls.)
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve non-compliance. (Supplier performance rating (on- time delivery, quality, service))
3. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with departments to align procurement with business needs. (Internal stakeholder satisfaction score(%))
- Provide guidance and market intelligence for procurement decisions. (% of projects supported by procurement completed within budget)
4. Financial & Process Control
- Track and report category spend and budget compliance. (% variance between actual spend vs. budget)
- Improve procurement processes for efficiency and transparency. (Procurement cycle time (PR to PO issuance))
5. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and legal requirements. (% of procurement activities fully compliant with policies)
- Mitigate risks related to supplier performance and contract obligations. (% of critical suppliers with risk assessments completed annually)

Nature and Scope / Key Responsibilities:
1. Category Management & Sourcing
2. Develop and implement procurement strategies for services and indirect material categories.
3. Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and supplier innovations.
4. Lead sourcing events (RFQs, RFPs, e-auctions) and evaluate bids based on total cost of ownership.
5. Supplier Management.
6. Establish, negotiate, and manage contracts, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
7. Maintain strong supplier relationships while driving performance improvements.
8. Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
9. Stakeholder Collaboration.
10. Partner with internal departments (IT, HR, Facilities, Marketing, Finance) to define requirements and priorities.
11. Provide procurement expertise to project teams and business units.
12. Financial & Process Control.
13. Monitor spending, budget compliance, and procurement KPIs.
14. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and transparency.
15. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
Job Skills:
1. Experience with strategic sourcing, e-auctions, and cost analysis.
2. Familiarity with legal and compliance requirements for services contracts.
3. CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent procurement certification.
4. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
2. 5-8 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in services and indirect category management.
3. With solid experience in FMCG
4. Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, contract management, and vendor performance monitoring.
5. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft D365) and procurement tools.
6. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
7. High level of integrity, organization, and decision-making ability.
