About the job Fire Alarm / Security / Access Control Technician
We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm / Security / Access Control Technician to join our service team in Las Cruces, NM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage life safety and security systems across various commercial and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm, security, and access control systems

Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure systems remain fully operational and compliant with applicable codes and standards

Diagnose issues, replace components, and verify proper system functionality

Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure timely completion of service work orders

Maintain detailed service reports and documentation

Adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices
Qualifications:

Active NM ES3J license (required)

3+ years of experience servicing fire alarm, security, or access control systems

Strong knowledge of low-voltage wiring, system programming, and device configuration

Experience with major systems such as Notifier, Fire-Lite, EST, Honeywell, Bosch, Lenel, or HID (preferred)

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Valid drivers license and clean driving record
