Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Lead Technician to anchor our repairs operation out of Tempe, AZ. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused primarily on fire alarm troubleshooting and repair, with secondary responsibilities in fire sprinkler systems and special hazards. You will direct a team of at least three technicians, interface directly with customers and sales partners, assist in scoping and writing repair proposals, and serve as a mentor to less experienced members of the team. Inspection support for fire alarm, sprinkler, and special hazards systems may also be required on an as-needed basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-level troubleshooting and repair work on fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems
- Direct daily work assignments for a team of three or more technicians
- Interface with customers and sales representatives to scope and write repair proposals
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level technicians, actively investing in their growth
- Maintain clear communication with management, field teams, and clients throughout each job
- Support fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and special hazards inspections as needed
- Represent the company professionally on job sites and in front of client contacts
Required Qualifications
- NICET Level II or higher in fire alarm systems
- Fluent working knowledge of Notifier fire alarm systems
- Fluent working knowledge of Fike gas detection and special hazards systems
- Strong proficiency with multimeters and electrical troubleshooting
- Proven ability to perform complex fire alarm repairs independently
- Demonstrated experience mentoring or developing less experienced technicians
- Ability to manage multiple active jobs simultaneously without losing track of priorities
- Strong communication skills with both technical teams and non-technical clients
- Willingness to learn and become proficient on additional manufacturer platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of NAC
- Voice evacuation system experience
- Fire sprinkler exposure or certifications

- Base pay starting at $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr, based on certifications and experience
