Lead Fire Alarm Technician / Foreman

We're looking for an experienced Lead Fire Alarm Technician / Foreman to take charge of the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems on commercial and industrial projects. This role requires both hands-on technical expertise and strong leadership skills to oversee crews, coordinate with project managers, and ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, and to code.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of technicians on fire alarm installation and service projects.

• Install, program, and commission fire alarm systems and related devices.

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to ensure proper installation.

• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and inspectors to maintain project schedules.

• Enforce site safety standards and ensure all work meets NFPA and local code requirements.

• Provide mentorship and training to junior technicians.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems as needed.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of fire alarm installation and service experience, with at least 12 years in a leadership or foreman role.

• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and local fire alarm codes.

• Hands-on experience with major brands (Honeywell, Edwards, Silent Knight, etc.).

• NICET Level 1 certification or higher.

• Ability to lead medium to large crews for fire alarm systems installation. 

• Ability to lead crews, manage workflow, and communicate effectively with clients and contractors.

• OSHA 10/30, lift certifications, and ready to test for a NICET 1 certification.
