Position Summary
The Safety Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Safety & Operations team. This role manages compliance documentation, coordinates training and audits, assists with fleet and GPS systems, and helps oversee facility and security programs. By keeping accurate records, tracking compliance requirements, and ensuring timely follow-ups, the Safety Administrator plays a vital role in protecting employees and supporting day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Administration

Maintain training logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation.

Schedule and coordinate safety trainings, inspections, and audits.

Prepare and distribute safety bulletins, policy updates, and communications.

Assist with incident follow-ups, corrective action tracking, and workers comp claims.

Monitor compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other safety regulations.

Track and report key safety metrics, including incident rates and training completion.
Fleet & GPS Management

Install and troubleshoot GPS and dash cameras in company vehicles.

Monitor driver behavior trends and provide updates to management.

Track mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle utilization for compliance and reporting.

Ensure company fleet policies are followed and support environmental reporting.
Facilities Support

Coordinate facility maintenance and repairs with vendors and contractors.

Maintain inventory of safety equipment and facility supplies (PPE, first aid kits, fire extinguishers).

Support facility safety inspections and maintain compliance records.

Track utilities (water, electricity, waste) and assist with recycling initiatives.
Security Badging

Manage badge issuance for new employees and deactivate badges for terminations.

Conduct badge system audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Qualifications
Education
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Safety Management, or related field preferred.
Skills & Competencies

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to learn new safety systems.

Knowledge of OSHA/DOT compliance standards is a plus.

Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Experience

12 years of administrative experience, preferably in safety, fleet, or compliance.

Experience with record-keeping and vendor coordination preferred.
