Join our dynamic team as a Lead Audiovisual Technician, where you will play a crucial role in delivering these innovative solutions to our clients. Your expertise will contribute to the successful design, installation, and maintenance of AV systems that exceed expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installation tasks for audio-visual projects including but not limited to pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projectors, and above-ceiling structural work
- Read and interpret drawings including reflected ceiling plans, elevations, structural and single-line
- Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems-related tasks Assist with basic mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring
- Projector and screen support structure installations
- Test point-to-point functionality of systems Field installation of control programs (AMX/Crestron/Extron) - upload and download capability
- Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 Technicians Load and test code for control and DSP systems Perform client training as needed
- Customer liaison in the absence of the Project Manager
- Responsible for job documentation as needed Demonstrate job site leadership
- Travel to various job sites required
- Obtain or hold an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Course
Requirements:
- Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and controls Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Effectively communicate with employees, customers, and colleagues
- Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to work and think independently and ensure meeting deadlines
- Basic computer knowledge and customer service experience
- Ability to manage small to medium projects
- Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record
Nice to Have:
- Lead teams and projects of $50,000 each to 5 projects with a minimum of $250,000
- Extron AV Associate Certification Crestron Professional Installation Certification Essentials of Crestron
- Programming AMX Intro to Networking for AV Professionals AMX Installer Introduction to Project Management
