Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Security Systems Designer to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing, drafting, and engineering security systems for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed security system designs, drawings, and schematics for CCTV, access control, intrusion, and other integrated systems
• Interpret project specifications, blueprints, and scope documents to create accurate system layouts
• Coordinate with sales, project managers, engineers, and installation teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
• Select and specify equipment, materials, and installation methods
• Prepare and maintain as-built drawings upon project completion
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements
• Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to evaluate products and solutions
• Support estimating and proposal efforts with technical design input

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in security system design
• Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar software
• Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, UL, and other relevant codes and standards
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
