Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and enforce safety programs across large-scale construction projects, specifically data center environments. This role requires a strong field background, the ability to collaborate with multiple levels of site leadership, and a proactive approach to maintaining a culture of safety excellence.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of total experience in safety and/or construction
    • Up to 4 years may be credited from a safety or construction-related degree
    • Minimum 6 years of hands-on field experience required
  • Experience in data center or Intel project environments (new construction to occupancy preferred)
  • Strong experience working with General Contractors or large construction firms
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with large project owners
  • Ability to work closely with General Superintendents, Project Superintendents, Area Superintendents, and Field Superintendents
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and local safety regulations

Core Responsibilities

  • Site Safety Enforcement: Conduct regular site audits and walkthroughs to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA standards
  • Program Development: Develop and maintain site-specific safety policies, procedures, and risk mitigation plans
  • Training & Education: Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training programs
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Review and enforce subcontractor safety plans and compliance
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and compliance documentation
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills
