We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fire Alarm Project Technician to join our team. Responsibilities:

Install, repair, and upgrade fire alarm systems; program control panels using building plans and electrical layouts

Mount sensors and perform installation tasks (e.g., drilling holes, accessing crawlspaces/attics)

Ensure all work complies with current codes and safety regulations

Run low-voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including conduit work and drilling through concrete walls

Complete wiring, connections, and equipment installations in compliance with electrical and fire codes
-
Test and verify functionality of newly installed fire alarm systems and components

Troubleshoot installations to ensure proper operation and compliance with local, state, and federal codes, as well as insurance requirements
Requirements:

Fire Alarm License and/or NICET II certification (preferred, not required)

Willingness and availability to travel as needed

Current/valid state-required Physical Security and/or Life Safety license in applicable technology

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site maps

Knowledge of NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and NFPA 72

Experience with burglar alarms, access control, and CCTV (a plus)

Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)

Certification to operate boom/scissor lifts; ability to work at heights

Possession of basic telecommunication tools, PPE, and reliable transportation

Valid drivers license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in the last 3 years)
