We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fire Alarm Project Technician to join our team. Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and upgrade fire alarm systems; program control panels using building plans and electrical layouts

  • Mount sensors and perform installation tasks (e.g., drilling holes, accessing crawlspaces/attics)

  • Ensure all work complies with current codes and safety regulations

  • Run low-voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including conduit work and drilling through concrete walls

  • Complete wiring, connections, and equipment installations in compliance with electrical and fire codes

  • Test and verify functionality of newly installed fire alarm systems and components

  • Troubleshoot installations to ensure proper operation and compliance with local, state, and federal codes, as well as insurance requirements

Requirements:

  • Fire Alarm License and/or NICET II certification (preferred, not required)

  • Willingness and availability to travel as needed

  • Current/valid state-required Physical Security and/or Life Safety license in applicable technology

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site maps

  • Knowledge of NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and NFPA 72

  • Experience with burglar alarms, access control, and CCTV (a plus)

  • Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Certification to operate boom/scissor lifts; ability to work at heights

  • Possession of basic telecommunication tools, PPE, and reliable transportation

  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in the last 3 years)
