We are seeking an experienced Industrial Technician II with a valid EL06 License to join our team for both short- and long-term project work in the greater Seattle, WA area. This role involves structured cabling, project leadership, and installation work across a variety of retail and industrial sites.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently while leading teams to complete projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain structured cabling systems in commercial and retail environments
- Lead teams of technicians on multi-week projects, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints
- Professionally install and terminate copper and fiber cabling (CAT5E, CAT6, CAT6A, SC, LC, ST, etc.)
- Ensure proper cable dressing, patch panel terminations, and compliance with NEC/RCW Code
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of cabling networks and related devices
- Manage and supervise conduit installation, distribution equipment, lighting systems, and equipment connections
- Operate lifts (boom and scissor) and work safely at heights
- Collaborate with Project Managers and provide solutions for installation challenges
- Maintain professionalism in customer interactions and mentor junior team members
Requirements
- EL06 License required (06 Training Card with signed affidavit hours also accepted)
- Minimum 3+ years of low voltage cabling experience; team leadership preferred
- Knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA)
- Hands-on experience with copper and fiber cabling, termination, and testing
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel for projects, work flexible schedules (day/night/weekend shifts as required)
- Reliable transportation with valid drivers license and clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in last 3 years)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must own basic telecommunications tools, hand tools, and PPE
- Experience in conduit installation, Wireless, AV, or CCTV systems is a plus
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay: $20 - $40/hour (based on experience, licensing, and certifications)
