Job Description:

We are seeking a Lead Low Voltage Technician to join our team and play a key role in safeguarding lives within hospitals and medical facilities. This position goes beyond installation you will be the on-site leader overseeing the implementation of vital technologies, including nurse call, security, and fire life-safety systems. Your expertise will directly impact the safety and security of patients, staff, and healthcare operations.

Schedule

  • Hours may vary. Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the primary customer contact on-site; provide daily updates to the Foreman and/or Project Manager.
  • Document project progress; enter daily summaries into company CRM and complete all final project closeout documentation.
  • Prepare and stage project materials and equipment to ensure efficient installations.
  • Adhere to workplace safety standards, regulations, and practices.
  • Lead installation crews on-site to ensure timely and successful project completion.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to keep projects moving forward.
  • Interpret drawings and determine best installation methods.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of security, nurse call, and fire life-safety systems, including but not limited to EST3, Lenel, and Ascom.
  • Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.

Position Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction and/or low-voltage installation.
  • 3+ years of healthcare low-voltage installation experience.
  • 2+ years in a leadership role (4+ years preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid California Drivers License and proof of auto insurance.
  • Ability to obtain required vaccinations and immunizations for work in healthcare environments.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Frequent use of wrists, hands, and fingers for repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to walk, drive, bend, stoop, hear, and speak effectively.
  • Lift, move, install, or remove items weighing 50+ pounds daily.
  • Drive for 2+ hours during a work shift.
  • Work may involve extreme heights, confined spaces, and variable indoor temperatures.
  • Regular work in hospitals and medical facilities with direct patient contact.
