About the job Security Estimator - Low Voltage Systems
Were looking for a skilled and motivated Security Access Control & CCTV Estimator/Engineer to join our growing security team! This hybrid role combines project estimation and technical engineering focused on electronic physical security systems. If you have hands-on experience designing, estimating, programming, and troubleshooting access control and video surveillance platforms we want to talk to you.
Estimation Responsibilities

Analyze drawings, specs, RFPs, and site conditions to generate accurate estimates.

Create detailed cost breakdowns, BOMs, and scopes of work.

Work with vendors to price and source hardware/software.

Support the sales team with technical input for proposals and bids.

Maintain and improve estimation tools and pricing data.
Engineering & Technical Responsibilities

Design integrated access control and CCTV systems per code and client needs.

Program and configure platforms like Openpath, Avigilon, Verkada, Brivo, etc.

Troubleshoot system issues during install and post-install support.

Create and review wiring diagrams, risers, and network layouts.

Perform field surveys and provide technical support to install/service teams.
Required Qualifications

3+ years experience in access control/CCTV system design, installation, or estimation.

Strong knowledge of platforms like Openpath, Avigilon, Verkada, Brivo.

Proficiency with IP networking, low-voltage standards, and integrations.

Skilled in reading construction drawings and using tools like Bluebeam or AutoCAD.

Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with estimation tools.
Preferred Qualifications

Degree or certification in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field.

Manufacturer certifications (Openpath, Avigilon, Verkada, Brivo).

Experience with LenelS2, Genetec, Exacq, Milestone, or D-Tools.

NICET, BICSI, or PSP certification is a plus.
