About the job PLC Technician

Responsibilities:

Assist with the programming, testing, and troubleshooting of PLC systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) Step 5, Step 7

Help with HMI/SCADA development and support

Participate in fieldwork including installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems

Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
-
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure smooth project execution
-
Maintain accurate documentation of systems and work performed
-
Participate in a rotating on-call weekend to support urgent service needs
Requirements:
4-5 years of hands-on experience with PLCs or completion of relevant Training/certification program

Basic knowledge of ladder logic and industrial automation systems

Familiarity with electrical panels and low-voltage control systems

Ability to troubleshoot control systems and follow technical documentation

Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Willingness to travel locally in SoCal and a rotating on-call weekend shift
Preferred Qualifications:

Associates degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field

Exposure to HMI/SCADA systems and platforms
-
Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Step 5, and Step 7 (S5, S7)
