We're seeking an Estimator with experience in residential and commercial rebuilds following fire, water, or other structural damage. This role involves developing accurate scopes and budgets using Xactimate, coordinating with trades, and ensuring projects are completed to code, on time, and within budget. You'll be the main point of contact for clients and adjusters throughout the reconstruction process, so strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate reconstruction scopes using Xactimate, minimizing over/underages
  • Create detailed floor plans and elevation sketches for rebuild projects
  • Review job sites and architectural plans to confirm structural requirements
  • Build and manage project budgets, tracking overages and proposing solutions
  • Ensure all reconstruction work aligns with applicable building codes and regulations
  • Maintain project schedules and coordinate with subcontractors and trades
  • Communicate regularly with property owners, insurance adjusters, and consultants
  • Identify any site hazards (e.g., lead, mold) that impact rebuild efforts
  • Maintain clean, safe company vehicles and submit incident reports when needed
  • Follow all insurance and company policies, and documentation requirements

Requirements

  • Proven experience estimating residential rebuilds over $50,000 and commercial work up to $100,000
  • Proficiency with Xactimate and familiarity with national pricing databases
  • Knowledge of building materials, timelines, and sequencing for reconstruction
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple jobs at once
  • Comfortable working independently and making field-based decisions

Nice to Have

  • 3+ years of estimating experience in construction or restoration
  • Background in drywall, framing, trim, cabinetry, or other structural trades
  • Xactimate Level 1, 2, or 3 certification
  • High-end commercial projects such as hospitals, corporate offices, etc.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $70,000-$100,000 based on experience and location
