Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to oversee the installation and delivery of PLC, SCADA, and BMS systems across various commercial and industrial projects ($4 million+). This role is responsible for driving project execution, managing subcontractors, coordinating material logistics, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality installations on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the lifecycle of construction projects from intake to close-out
- Coordinate project documentation, timelines, and commissioning workload with internal teams
- Hire and manage electrical subcontractors; review bids, execute contracts, and oversee installation work
- Order and schedule delivery of project materials and coordinate with clients on site readiness
- Lead communication across project stakeholders, including Engineering, Programming, and Field Technicians
- Visit job sites to assess progress, provide documentation, and attend client meetings
- Create and manage billing processes with internal admin and customer points of contact
- Track project performance and costs, initiate corrective actions when needed
- Assist in organizing startup activities and ensure smooth handover to service teams
- Prepare close-out packages, including as-built documentation and owner training
- Mentor junior Project Managers and contribute to training and development
- Conduct quality control and enforce project safety compliance standards
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge in project management, electrical systems, and industry standards
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience managing electrical or controls installation projects
- Ability to read technical plans and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable with extensive travel (up to 75%)
