Security Technician

We are seeking an experienced Security Technician for an opportunity in Grapevine, TX. This is a hands-on field role in a warehouse environment combining Verkada security system installation with structured cabling support. The project runs approximately one month with a hard deadline and minimal tolerance for schedule disruptions. We need someone who shows up, produces, and doesn't create problems on a travel job.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure Verkada IP cameras and access control systems
• Wire access control panels, including terminations and field programming support
• Install door hardware, card readers, magnetic locks, REX devices, and related hardware
• Pull, terminate, test, and label Cat6 cabling to support security and data infrastructure
• Assist with structured cabling rough-ins and pathway installation throughout the facility
• Operate scissor lifts and aerial lifts for overhead work — lift certification required
• Follow project schedules, quality standards, and site safety requirements
• Coordinate with project lead to maintain production pace and minimize rework

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in security integration or low voltage installation
• Direct experience installing and wiring Verkada cameras and access control systems
• Proficiency terminating and testing Cat6 structured cabling
• Lift certification required — scissor lift and/or aerial lift
• Ability to read and interpret low voltage drawings and access control diagrams
• Proven reliability — this is a travel project with no room for unplanned absences
• Professional attitude and ability to perform in a team environment under deadline pressure
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
• Own hand tools and PPE required

Preferred Qualifications

• Low voltage license (where applicable) or BICSI, ESA, or equivalent certification
• Prior experience on warehouse or light industrial security and data projects
• Familiarity with access control platforms such as Verkada, Lenel, CCURE 9000, or Genetec

Compensation & Details

• Contract position — $30–$35/hr based on experience
• Weekly pay
• Project starts within the next 4 weeks
• Travel project — must be available to work on-site in Grapevine, TX for the duration
