About the job BIM Coordinator - Fire Alarm
We are seeking a BIM Coordinator to support Design and Installation Teams by coordinating high-quality BIM models for Fire Alarm and Detection Systems. This role works under the direction of the Project Design Lead, following established BIM Execution Plans and workflows. Preference is for candidates local to our Tempe, AZ office, with options to work from our Austin, Atlanta, or Ohio offices. Remote work is available for the right candidate after a two-week training period.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate high-quality BIM models for Fire Alarm and Detection Systems
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models using Revit and Navisworks
- Model and coordinate Fire Alarm and Detection systems in accordance with contract documents
- Perform clash detection in Navisworks and actively coordinate resolutions with other trades
- Update project shop drawings and calculations for layout changes
- Follow project BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and established workflows
- Collaborate with field teams to validate constructability and ensure models reflect real-world conditions
- Assist in improving company BIM standards, templates, and workflows
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in BIM, VDC, or construction coordination, low voltage or MEP preferred
- Proficient in Revit and Navisworks
- Experience working in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Navisworks clash detection experience
- Ability to read construction drawings and understand design intent
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of Bluebeam and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Willingness to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines
