About the Role
The Service Supervisor provides both technical and developmental leadership to field service technicians while supporting daily operations, project performance, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong background in security and life safety systems, hands-on troubleshooting and commissioning experience, and proven success managing service operations and field personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor service technicians, ensuring training, quality, and productivity standards are met.
- Oversee scheduling, dispatch, and resource allocation for service operations and T&M workflows.
- Support estimation, material procurement, and project coordination to meet profitability and cash flow goals.
- Review, book, and ensure accurate documentation for all service calls, including forms, invoicing, and change orders.
- Provide technical guidance on troubleshooting, programming, and commissioning across building systems.
- Maintain customer relationships, address service issues, and ensure satisfaction across assigned accounts.
- Support startup, commissioning, and service turnover to ensure continuity and efficiency.
- Develop and track performance goals for direct reports, conducting regular reviews and training sessions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and operations teams to improve project delivery and service standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with security and life safety systems.
- 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role overseeing technicians or field teams.
- Experience managing service operations, dispatch, and scheduling workflows.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service management software.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with direct client-facing experience.
- Valid drivers license with acceptable record and ability to travel locally.
- Active certifications required in the following:
- Milestone: MTC Level 1, Level 2, MSD
- Lenel: OnGuard Certified (Associate or Professional, version 7 or higher)
- Genetec: Synergis
- Software House: CCURE 9000 Levels 1 & 2
- Avigilon: Unity or Alta (ACC or ACM platforms)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field.
- Experience managing budgets, analyzing P&L, and forecasting department performance.
- Strong knowledge of integrated systems (Access Control, CCTV, Life Safety).
- Industry certifications such as PMP, OSHA 30, LEED, or equivalent.
- Texas Private Security License and/or Fire Alarm License (FAL).

- Starting salary: $72,000 - $77,000, depending on experience and credentials
