Low Voltage Estimator

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Estimator to support commercial projects involving structured cabling, premise systems, security, and A/V systems. This is a hands-on estimating role focused on reviewing drawings, performing takeoffs, and developing accurate project cost estimates. The estimator will collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors, and general contractors to prepare competitive bids and support project planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and design documents to determine scope of work.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Prepare bids and proposals, submit RFIs, and verify project costs.
• Coordinate with clients, general contractors, and subcontractors to align project scope and pricing.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documentation.
• Conduct site visits as needed to evaluate existing conditions and material requirements.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and explore value engineering opportunities.
• Assist with change order evaluations and update budgets as project scopes evolve.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial or industrial environments.
• Experience with low voltage systems, structured cabling, security systems, and/or A/V installations.
• Proficiency with Excel, Bluebeam, and Smartsheet or similar estimating tools.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
