About the job Traveling Fire Alarm Technician
We are seeking experienced Fire Alarm Technicians with a passion for their craft to support the installation of fire alarm systems on large commercial projects. This role involves hands-on installation of fire alarm devices and cabling, primarily working day shifts, with regional travel required for 3–4 weeks at a time in a company vehicle after completing orientation.
Key Responsibilities
- Install fire alarm devices on large commercial sites.
- Pull, route, terminate, and label low-voltage cabling.
- Install panels, detectors, pull stations, Fire alarm Horns, Fire alarm strobes, panel upgrades, and test and inspect fire alarm systems.
- Experience and confidence in installing and troubleshooting Glass breaks, light up exit signs,
- Read and follow drawings, layouts, and installation plans.
- Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of installed systems.
- Follow all job-site safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain clean and professional work areas.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience installing Fire Alarm systems.
- Experience working on large commercial projects.
- Ability to travel regionally for 3–4 weeks at a time.
- Ability to work day shifts.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with systems such as Notifier, Simplex, Edwards, Fire-Lite, Bosch, Honeywell, EST, Edwards panels and devices, Gamewell, or DSC.
- NICET certification (NICET I, or NICET 2 or Higher) (Fire Alarm)
