We are looking for an Estimator to join our Las Vegas operations and play a key role in driving competitive, accurate proposals that support our sales and project delivery teams.
Position Overview
This is a technical estimating role, not a sales position. The right candidate takes ownership of the bid process from site walk to final proposal, building accurate scopes of work in Excel and Bluebeam before handing off to design for drawing implementation. Experience estimating fire alarm, access control, video surveillance, or integrated security systems is preferred, and familiarity with Software House, Genetec, Lenel, or Axis platforms will set candidates apart.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site walks to evaluate project conditions and define complete scope of work
- Develop detailed estimates and proposals for access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, fire alarm, and integrated security systems
- Review plans, specifications, and site documentation to confirm project requirements
- Prepare scopes of work for hand-off to design team for drawing implementation
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers including Software House, Genetec, Lenel, and Axis on pricing, product availability, and lead times
- Support RFI and RFP responses in collaboration with the sales team
- Maintain communication with customers, consultants, and AHJs throughout the bid cycle
- Contribute to submittal packages including device layouts, wiring diagrams, and product literature
- Build and maintain customer relationships throughout the estimating and pre-construction process
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of estimating experience in electronic security, fire alarm, or integrated low voltage systems
- Hands-on or estimating background in one or more of the following: access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, or fire alarm
- Direct experience with Software House, Genetec, Lenel, or Axis platforms strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and Bluebeam required
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications
- Experience conducting site walks and translating field conditions into accurate scope
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active bids simultaneously
- Comfortable working directly with customers and building relationships throughout the bid process
- College degree, trade school, or equivalent hands-on industry experience
