Job Openings CCTV & Security Alarm Technician - TRAVELING

About the job CCTV & Security Alarm Technician - TRAVELING

We are hiring a traveling CCTV and alarm technician in each of these states: Arizona, Oklahoma, Texas, and Kentucky. You could be traveling up to 4 weeks at a time installing and servicing CCTV and alarm systems at commercial sites in your region. This is hands-on install and service work, not a desk job, and the right candidate is comfortable living on the road for extended stretches. If you know how to mount, wire, and troubleshoot IP cameras and alarm panels and you want consistent hours and travel coverage, this is a fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install CCTV systems including IP cameras, NVRs, and associated head-end equipment
  • Install and service alarm systems including panels, sensors, door contacts, and keypads
  • Pull, route, and terminate low voltage cable to cameras and alarm devices
  • Mount and aim cameras, then verify field of view and image quality
  • Troubleshoot and repair existing CCTV and alarm systems on service calls
  • Test and verify full system operation before sign-off
  • Work from prints, scopes of work, and punch lists at each site
  • Document completed work with photos and closeout paperwork
  • Operate lifts and ladders to install devices at height
  • Communicate daily with the project lead on progress and site issues

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years installing or servicing CCTV, alarm, or related low voltage security systems
  • Able to travel up to 4 weeks at a time from your home base in AZ, OK, TX, or KY
  • Hands-on experience with IP cameras and alarm panel wiring
  • Able to terminate Cat5e/Cat6 and read prints
  • Valid driver's license with a clean MVR
  • Able to pass a background check and 10-panel drug screen
  • Comfortable on ladders and lifts, and able to lift 50 lbs
  • Available for 40+ hour weeks with OT as projects require

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Axis, Avigilon, Hikvision, Genetec, Milestone, or similar CCTV platforms
  • Experience with Bosch, DMP, Honeywell, or similar alarm panels
  • OSHA 10 and lift certs (boom, scissor, aerial)
  • Prior traveling tech or national rollout experience
  • Access control install experience (card readers, mag locks, door strikes)

Compensation and Benefits

  • $27 to $35 per hour, based on experience
  • Per diem paid when overnight travel is required
  • Drive time and mileage paid when using a personal vehicle for travel
  • Company vehicle may be provided
  • Overtime available on most projects
  • Consistent, back-to-back project work — no sitting at home between jobs
