About the job Fire Alarm Project Technician

We are seeking experienced Fire Alarm Project Technicians for service and installation projects across Michigan. The ideal candidates will have strong technical expertise in fire alarm systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • Must hold NICET Level II or Michigan FAST certification (required).
  • 3+ years of experience in Fire Alarm system installation, service, or testing.
  • Hands-on experience with leading fire alarm systems (Notifier, EST, Siemens, or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
  • Strong understanding of NFPA codes and local fire alarm regulations.
  • Proficient in system troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel within Michigan as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, program, test, inspect, and maintain fire alarm systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair system components as needed.
  • Ensure installations meet project specifications and applicable codes.
  • Document all work performed accurately and timely.
  • Provide high-quality customer service and maintain professional communication with clients.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure successful project delivery.
