Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Operations Manager to lead core accounting functions with a strong emphasis on ERP implementation/migration & M&A integration. This role plays a key part in modernizing our financial infrastructure and driving process improvement projects while maintaining operational excellence and ensuring compliance with accounting standards during and after system transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the accounting lead on data migration projects and ERP implementation projects
- Assist with financial due diligence, integration planning, and execution.
- Lead data integrity and reconciliation efforts before, during, and after system cutover.
- Train and support accounting staff on new systems and workflows.
- Evaluate and improve accounting systems, processes, and tools to enhance efficiency.
- Define and document process changes, controls, and best practices
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Proven experience leading or participating in ERP implementation or migration projects (e.g., NetSuite strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
- Understanding of purchase accounting and ASC 805 (Business Combinations).
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets and system integrations.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with M&A transactions is a strong plus.
- Experience in high-growth or acquisitive companies, particularly during transformational periods.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
