Job Summary:
This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the companys financial operations by leading month-end and annual close activities, preparing consolidated financial statements, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Youll collaborate closely with the Corporate Accounting team and contribute to continuous process improvements that drive efficiency and add value. Success in this role requires strong expertise in corporate accounting, US GAAP, and complex financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the execution and performance of accounting and finance activities, including, but not limited to:
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close, which includes approving journal entries, maintaining monthly reconciliations, and performing balance sheet analysis
- Handle group consolidation accounting, including preparation of consolidated financial statements across multiple entities
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting with a strong understanding of complex account transactions, financial reporting standards, and consolidation processes
- Apply solid corporate accounting knowledge in managing day-to-day financial operations and compliance requirements
- Ensure financial statements comply with US GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Support initiatives related to inventory automation, including collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with the Accounting VP, Director, and Manager in developing and improving monthly schedules to streamline the closing process
- Assist with external audit requirements by providing necessary documentation and timely responses
- Prepare ad hoc financial and management reports as needed to support decision-making
Skills, Knowledge, and Education:
- Minimum 2 years of related Public Accounting experience preferred, or a 3-year mix of industry experience
- At least 3 years of experience working with US GAAP
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Minimum 2 years of group consolidation accounting experience
- Excellent understanding of complex financial reporting, account transactions, and consolidation processes
- Strong corporate accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or complex business structure
- Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and accuracy are critical in this position
- Ability to proactively propose and effectively communicate improvement solutions
- Skilled with Microsoft Office applications; advanced Excel skills required
- Experience with NetSuite and/or other ERP systems
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong English communication skills both verbal and written.
- Comfortable working in EST timezone hours
