Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and motivated Email Marketing Specialist to join our growing CRM team. This role plays a key part in educating and engaging our audience, helping to foster brand loyalty and drive communication. The position will focus on managing our email marketing efforts, while also overseeing additional subscriber outreach initiatives such as direct mail, SMS, and our Refer-a-Friend program. Success in this role will be measured by email engagement, customer satisfaction (NPS), and churn reduction.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, a strong collaborator, and an organized planner who uses data to continuously enhance customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute our monthly email newsletter program.
- Create engaging content plans and compelling narratives for subscribers.
- Collaborate with the Content Team to develop stories that resonate with customers and enhance the subscription value.
- Develop creative briefs for our design and copy teams.
- Strategize when to repurpose existing content versus creating new, email-specific content.
- Set up, test, and deploy email campaigns.
- Analyze engagement data and optimize email content for better performance.
- Expand the program by increasing email frequency and enhancing personalization.
- Work with the Senior Email Marketing Specialist to manage the subscriber preference center and implement related content plans.
- Support ad-hoc email campaigns as needed.
- Partner with internal teams to translate business goals into effective email marketing strategies.
- Manage end-to-end email processes, including brief creation, campaign setup, testing, deployment, and performance analysis.
- Assist with lead generation, outage notifications, customer surveys, product cross-sell campaigns, and more.
- Stay updated on email marketing trends and tools to improve campaign performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in email marketing.
- Familiarity with HTML, Dreamweaver, and Litmus is a plus.
- Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using data to inform marketing strategies.
- A proactive, self-motivated team player who is open to new approaches and ideas.
