A respected, multi-practice law firm is seeking a Senior Employment Law Attorney to join its Employment Law group. This role is suited for an experienced attorney who serves as a trusted advisor to employer clients and has deep expertise across a broad range of employment law matters.

The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience counseling employers and handling employment litigation, including defense of FEHA and Title VII claims, wage and hour matters, class and PAGA actions, and trade secret and unfair competition disputes. Experience representing clients in court, arbitration, and before administrative agencies such as the EEOC, CRD, and DLSE is required. Candidates should also have an established or developing book of portable business.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in the State Bar of California
  • Minimum of 8 years of employment law litigation experience
  • Demonstrated success managing complex employment matters
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, consulting, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal counsel and representation in employment litigation matters
  • Defend clients against FEHA, Title VII, and related claims
  • Handle class actions and PAGA cases
  • Manage trade secret and unfair competition disputes
  • Defend wage and hour claims
  • Represent clients before state and federal administrative agencies
  • Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor
  • Contribute to business development and growth of the employment practice
  • Present employment law trainings and seminars for clients
  • Supervise and mentor associates

Location

This position may be based in the Silicon Valley (San Jose), Tri-Valley (Pleasanton), or Peninsula (San Mateo) offices. Travel between locations may be required.

Compensation

Compensation is commensurate with experience and expected production. The base salary range is estimated at $175,000–$225,000 annually, with potential incentive compensation ranging from 10%–20% of fees paid.
