About the job Speech Language Pathologist
We are seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school team. The successful candidate will provide speech and language therapy services to students with communication disorders, promoting their academic success and social participation.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students' communication skills, identifying strengths and challenges
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve students' speech, language, and communication skills
- Provide speech and language therapy sessions to students, focusing on articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate speech-language pathology into the educational environment
- Develop and implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems as needed
- Educate parents and caregivers on strategies to support their child's communication development
- Monitor students' progress and report findings to educators, parents, and other relevant parties
all grade levels available - Preschool through high school
Flexible service delivery model - 3 weeks of direct service, 1 week or indirect
Workload instead of caseload - weighted on severity of needs and amount of work to support them - 55 - Caseload of about 45 is typical
Could potentially cover 2 schools
All SPED Teachers will need at least 2 years of SPED Teaching experien
Shift: Days [full-time, 35hrs]
$100 gas incentive (one time)
Duration: 12 weeks
