Assess patients condition before surgery. Ensure that the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment. Keep the operating room sterilized. Pass medical instruments to the surgeons during operation. Monitor patients vital signs. Evaluate postoperative patients. Reviews charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure. Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards.

Patient Population:Cardiac (open heart), Abdominal Organ Transplant, General, Ortho, Urology, Head and Neck, Neuro and Spine, Podiatry, Trauma

Patient Ratios: 1:1

Number of Beds: 17 OR suites

Department Specifics:Unit educator and preceptors train each GN/RN, 3 DaVinci robots, 650+ cases a month, strong culture of safety, 50% CNOR certified, nurses are trained to scrub and are used in this capacity, highly diverse and inclusive, extremely motivated to nurture the next generation of OR nurses.

Registered Nurse Requirements

Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program BSN preferred

2 YEARS OF OPERATING ROOM RN EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED

License/Certification

RN Registered Nurse

BLS Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
