Storage Resident Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Storage Resident Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires strong expertise in enterprise storage provisioning, disaster recovery (DR) solutions, and SRDF (Symmetrix Remote Data Facility). You will be responsible for installing and building storage hardware, managing incidents and changes, and ensuring seamless storage operations across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision enterprise storage (PowerMax, PowerScale) for large-scale environments
• Develop, implement, and maintain disaster recovery strategies
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot SRDF solutions (SRDF/S, SRDF/A, SRDF/M, SRDF Metro)
• Install, configure, and build enterprise storage hardware solutions
• Manage incidents and changes following ITIL best practices

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise storage solutions
• Hands-on expertise in SRDF and disaster recovery planning
• Strong knowledge of SAN/NAS storage systems, Linux/Windows OS, and networking
• Proficiency in hardware installation, troubleshooting, and SCG
• Security-related knowledge (VA fixes, certificate imports) is an advantage
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Fluency in English (written and verbal)

Certifications & Education

• PMAX certification required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Additional storage-related certifications are a plus
