Enterprise Architect (Contract)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect (Contract) to lead a strategic architecture engagement focused on defining and delivering a clear, actionable enterprise architecture blueprint.
The primary objective of this role is to guide the organisations transition from its current-state architecture to a future-state architecture driven by modern digital and software capabilities.
This is an outcome-oriented, hands-on role that bridges business strategy, digital ambition, and technical implementation. The Enterprise Architect will work closely with business leaders, technology teams, and delivery partners/vendors to ensure the future-state architecture is practical, implementable, and aligned with organisational priorities.
Key Responsibilities – Architecture & Blueprint Development
Assess and document the current-state architecture across business, application, data, integration, and technology domains
Define a future-state enterprise architecture leveraging digital platforms, software services, cloud technologies, data, analytics, and automation capabilities
Develop a target architecture blueprint including architecture principles and guardrails, logical and high-level physical architecture views (L1, L2, L3), and key platforms, capabilities, and integration patterns
Transition & Roadmap Definition
Produce a clear transition roadmap from current to future state, including phased migration approach, dependencies, risks, constraints, and identification of quick wins versus strategic initiatives
Identify architectural building blocks required to enable digital transformation
Business–Technology Alignment
Translate business strategy and digital objectives into actionable architectural designs
Engage senior business and IT stakeholders to validate assumptions and priorities
Ensure architectural recommendations balance value, risk, cost, and delivery feasibility
Governance & Decision Support
Provide architectural guidance to ongoing initiatives to ensure alignment with the target state
Support investment and solution decisions with clear architectural rationale
Define architecture standards, patterns, and reference models where required
Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment
Communicate complex architectural concepts in clear, executive-friendly language
Facilitate architecture workshops and working sessions as required
Produce high-quality architecture artefacts suitable for executive, business, and delivery audiences
Drive alignment across business and technology stakeholders on the architecture, blueprint, and transition plan
Key Deliverables
An executable enterprise architecture blueprint covering current, transition, and future states
Effective communication of architectural direction and successful stakeholder buy-in
Required Experience & Skills
10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or large-scale solution architecture
Proven track record delivering enterprise architecture blueprints within transformation programs
Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Strong background in digital, software-driven, and platform-based architectures
Experience with cloud and hybrid platforms, API and integration architectures, data and analytics platforms, and modern application architectures (microservices, domain-driven design, event-based architectures)
Work Arrangement
44 hours per week (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Onsite work required except Saturdays, Sundays, and Singapore Public Holidays
Overtime may be required. No additional allowance will be provided; compensatory time off will be granted
