Job Description 2: M365 Security Engineer
Role Level: Specialist / Consultant
Experience: 3+ Years in Implementation & Troubleshooting
Role Purpose
The M365 Security Engineer will execute the technical rollout, configuration, and troubleshooting of the M365
security stack. You will work closely with the Architect to ensure the 20-month migration timeline is met through
efficient, automated deployment and rigorous testing.
Key Requirements
Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on technical experience. Must have successfully deployed M365
security components for an environment of at least 3,000 users.
Operational Excellence: Strong ability to troubleshoot complex identity sync issues and security policy
conflicts in a hybrid environment.
Must-Have Technical Expertise (Implementation & Support)
Identity: Microsoft Defender for Identity (TP02) with on-premises AD integration.
Security Operations: Hands-on configuration of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (TP01), Office (TP03), Cloud
Apps (TP04), and Servers (TP05).
Data Protection:Implementation of Data Loss Prevention (DSC01), Data Lifecycle Management (DSC02), and
eDiscovery (DCS03).
Monitoring: Configuring and managing Auditing for Microsoft 365 (DSC04).
Preferred Certifications (For Both Roles)
Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100)
Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate (SC-400)
Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200)
Key Performance Measurements (Delivery Context)
Ability to meet aggressive migration velocity (3,000+ users per month).
Precision in documenting Low-Level Designs (LLD) to minimize "Customer-Induced Delays."
High success rate in POC (Proof of Concept) sign-offs within 5 working days
