OCP and Automation Engineering roles

Key Responsibilities

· Cluster Management: Design, install, upgrade, and maintain OpenShift clusters across hybrid or cloud infrastructures.

· Automation: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for cluster provisioning, scaling, and configuration using Ansible, Terraform, or Python.

· Platform Security: Manage RBAC, security policies, image scanning, and ensure compliance within the container environment.

· Operational Support: Provide L2/L3 support, including monitoring, troubleshooting network/storage issues, and performing root cause analysis.

· Collaboration: Work with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitOps) for application deployment.

Required Qualifications & Skills

· Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Kubernetes internals, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), and containerization technologies (Docker/CRI-O).

· Experience: Generally, 2+ years of hands-on experience managing production OpenShift environments.

· Scripting/Automation: Proficiency in Bash, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.

· Infrastructure: Understanding of Linux administration, SDN (OVN-Kubernetes), and storage solutions (OpenShift Data Foundation/Ceph).

· Certifications: Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or similar (RHCSA/RHCE) is highly preferred.
