Job Summary
The IT Quality Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining quality assurance standards across IT systems and services. This role ensures that all IT deliverables meet internal benchmarks, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The manager will lead audits, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate across teams to enhance operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Strategy & Governance
- Develop and implement IT quality assurance policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Align quality goals with business and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain quality documentation including SOPs, audit logs, and compliance reports.
- Audit & Compliance
- Conduct regular system audits and inspections to ensure adherence to standards.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, ITIL, and other relevant standards.
- Testing & Validation
- Oversee system integration, functional, and user acceptance testing.
- Create and manage test plans and defect tracking systems.
- Monitor quality metrics and performance indicators.
- Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with IT, operations, and support teams to resolve quality issues.
- Train and mentor staff on QA protocols and tools.
- Lead stakeholder communications and promote a culture of quality.
- Continuous Improvement
- Analyze incident trends and recommend process enhancements.
- Stay updated on emerging QA tools, technologies, and best practices.
- Drive initiatives to improve system reliability and user experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT quality assurance or IT operations.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing tools, and IT service management.
- Experience with audit frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 20000, COBIT).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Good to have programming skills, especially in Java/J2ee/Microservices
Preferred Certifications
- ITIL Foundation or higher
- ISO Lead Auditor
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
- Six Sigma or Lean Quality certification
