What You'll Do
Electrical System Design & Troubleshooting
- Design minor electrical circuits and test and troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits used for machine and equipment control
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits to maintain optimal equipment performance
- Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
Installation & Maintenance
- Install and monitor performance of electrical equipment, checking for hazards, needed adjustments, or replacement
- Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications
- Perform layouts, assembly, installation, testing, repair, and adjustment of electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and new services including panels, breakers, and conduit
System Management & Repairs
- Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as brushes and armatures
- Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments
- Perform basic mechanical repairs as needed to support overall equipment functionality
- Utilize computer systems to search for parts and enter work orders into CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Technical Expertise & Leadership
- Interpret blueprints, work from sketches or verbal instructions to complete complex electrical tasks
- Maintain knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems
- Direct the work of technicians in lower classifications when needed
- Perform a variety of work as directed by the Group Leader
What You Bring
Required Experience & Skills:
- Two-year Associate degree and 5+ years of work experience (required)
- Proven experience in designing minor electrical circuits and troubleshooting electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits used for machine and equipment control
- Experience in troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
- Demonstrated ability to install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems
- Ability to perform basic mechanical repairs
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and working from sketches or verbal instructions
- Ability to utilize a computer to search for parts and enter work into a CMMS
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, perform manual dexterity tasks, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
Additional Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC systems
- Background in automated manufacturing environments
- Industrial electrical certifications or licenses
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
- Welding or fabrication experience
Work Details & Environment
Location: Ripon, WI (Local candidates required; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates)
Shift Details: Full-time, 2nd shift Monday-Thursday, 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM, 40 hours per week
Compensation Package:
- Hourly Rate: $42.45 - $45.31 (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
- Shift Differential: $3.25/hour
- Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 upon successful hiring
Employment Status: Direct Hire (Permanent, Full-Time)
