Our Client is seeking an Anatomical Pathologist to be part of their network of Anatomical Pathologists working in the community and hospital laboratories in Christchurch.

They provide services to private hospitals and general practices in the greater Canterbury region. Christchurch is known as the garden city, situated on the seaward side of the Canterbury Plains. The plains themselves and the backdrop of the magnificent Southern Alps leave the city with an unrivaled outdoor playground on its doorstep, mountain biking, tramping and skiing are all close at hand.

The referrals are mainly skin, breast, gynecologic, urologic, ENT, and gastrointestinal samples, totaling approximately 35000 accessions per year.

The pathologists also run a Fine Needle Aspiration clinic on rotation, so experience in FNA cytology is preferred.

We are seeking an experienced Anatomic Pathologist for the Christchurch Laboratory however we also welcome applications from newly qualified pathologists who are seeking to establish their post-fellowship career in a supportive environment.

 You will need to hold the Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia or a similar recognised postgraduate qualification and be eligible for registration as a Specialist Pathologist by the Medical Council of New Zealand.
