Our client is actively recruiting for a Store Manager to be responsible for the overall performance and day-to-day management of the retail store. This includes driving sales, leading and developing the store team, delivering exceptional customer service, managing stock and inventory, ensuring operational excellence, and maximising profitability while maintaining brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all daily store operations to ensure efficient and profitable performance.
- Drive sales by achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop store employees to build a high-performing team.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Manage stock control, inventory accuracy, stock replenishment, and stock takes.
- Ensure visual merchandising and store presentation meet company standards.
- Monitor store expenses, cash handling, banking, and point-of-sale procedures.
- Analyse sales performance and implement strategies to improve profitability.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Manage staff scheduling, attendance, performance reviews, and disciplinary processes.
- Minimise stock losses through effective security and loss prevention measures.
- Prepare operational reports and communicate effectively with regional and head office management.
Personal Attributes:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Diploma or Degree in Retail Management, Business Management, or a related field is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a retail management role, preferably within the apparel or fashion industry.
- Proven experience leading and developing retail teams.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in retail point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office.
Preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates from designated groups in line with the company's Employment Equity Plan.
