Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure maintenance standards are upheld across all building infrastructure and common areas.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and servicing of critical equipment including generators, HVAC systems, fire systems, roller shutters, gutters, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Monitor generator performance, diesel usage, and utility management for accurate operational reporting and tenant billing.
  • Coordinate tenant move-ins, move-outs, and renovation projects alongside the Property and Fit-Out teams.
  • Manage attic stock and assist with minor maintenance tasks when required.
  • Oversee recycling and sustainability initiatives across the property portfolio.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tenant queries, maintenance requests, and operational support.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with tenants, contractors, and service providers.
  • Coordinate and oversee soft services including security, cleaning, landscaping, pest control, and access control.
  • Conduct regular contractor and security spot checks to ensure service delivery standards are maintained.
  • Report directly to the Senior Facilities Manager on operational performance, maintenance issues, and ongoing projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, incidents, and building-related documentation.
  • Manage administrative processes including job cards, delivery notes, contractor documentation, and system updates.
  • Ensure all properties remain fully compliant with Occupational Health & Safety standards and building regulations.
  • Assist in managing emergency situations and remain available for urgent operational matters when required.
  • Support maintenance budgeting and cost control initiatives.

Personal Attributes: 

  • Matric certificate essential.
  • Relevant qualification in Property Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a property operations, facilities, or building management role.
  • Strong understanding of OHS regulations, preventative maintenance, and property operations.
  • Strong technical understanding of building systems and maintenance processes.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Solutions-driven with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Highly professional, dependable, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
