We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead, develop, and grow a high-performing sales team within the life insurance sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving regional sales targets, expanding market presence, managing broker and advisor relationships, and ensuring exceptional client service delivery across the region. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning abilities, and a deep understanding of life insurance products, compliance, and sales performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive regional sales growth and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales consultants, brokers, and business development representatives
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to increase market share and profitability
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, intermediaries, corporate partners, and key stakeholders
- Monitor sales performance metrics and implement improvement strategies where necessary
- Identify new business opportunities and emerging markets within the region
- Conduct regular field visits, coaching sessions, and performance reviews with the sales team
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company requirements within the insurance industry
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to guide business strategy
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to support sales campaigns and product launches
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and management reports
- Manage budgets, operational efficiency, and regional business performance
- Resolve escalated client and broker concerns professionally and efficiently
- Drive customer retention and policy persistency initiatives within the region
Personal Attributes Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Finance, or related field
- RE5 qualification (advantageous or required depending on regulatory environment)
- FAIS compliant
- Minimum 5 years' experience in life insurance sales
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a sales management or leadership role
- Strong understanding of life insurance products, underwriting, and compliance requirements
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Valid driver's license & Own vehicle + willingness to travel extensively within the region
