Clothing Designer – Fashion Retail

We are seeking a creative, trend-driven Clothing Designer to join our dynamic fashion retail team. This role is perfect for a passionate designer who can translate global trends and customer insights into commercially successful, on-brand product ranges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop seasonal collections aligned to brand identity and customer profile
• Research global and local fashion trends, fabrics, colours, and silhouettes
• Create design concepts, technical sketches, and detailed tech packs
• Work closely with Buyers and Merchandise Planners to ensure commercial viability
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to bring designs to life
• Conduct fit sessions and oversee product development from concept to final sample
• Ensure product quality, fit, and cost targets are met
• Contribute to building a strong, cohesive brand aesthetic across categories

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fashion or Clothing Designer within retail or apparel industry
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fit
• Proficiency in design software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar)
• Strong trend forecasting and creative conceptualisation skills
• Ability to balance creativity with commercial awareness
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
