Our Client in the FMCG / Retail Industry is actively recruiting for a Sales Director.
As the Sales Director, you will be responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market share within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. You will oversee a team of sales professionals, develop key customer relationships, and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve corporate goals and revenue targets within the FMCG industry.
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the company's presence in existing and new markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retailers, negotiating contracts and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and potential threats.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to align sales strategies with product launches, promotions, and inventory management.
- Develop and monitor sales metrics, KPIs, and performance targets to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and initiatives.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge and drive innovation within the organization.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the sales organization, promoting professional development and employee engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the FMCG industry, with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to develop and execute sales plans that align with corporate objectives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve targets and drive results.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and budget management.
- Knowledge of FMCG market dynamics, consumer trends, and competitor landscape.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales tools.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and visit regional and international offices.
- Strong integrity and ethical standards, with a commitment to upholding company values and principles.
