Our client, in the FINANCIAL SERVICES sector is currently hiring for a Regional Sales Manager in the Cape Town region. This role would manage a panel of Business Consultants across the region. 

Duties Include: 

  • Develop and implement a regional sales strategy and corresponding business plan with targets for the FY.
  • Lead a team; recruit, motivate, coach and train Business Developers in achieving and exceeding their targets.
  • Key Account Management to aid in business growth
  • Explain and agree targets with Business Developers and take accountability for the overall achievement of performance objectives in the business area.
  • Active on the job coaching through the attendance of joint calls and weekly discussions around a Business
  • Develop business and identification of opportunities.
  • Monthly meetings with every team member to discuss activity and performance, providing recommendations and mitigating solutions to deviances from target that have occurred.
  • Ensure adviser retention through the effective handling and follow through of queries.
  • Ensure that business leads are maximized to achieve and exceed business targets.
  • Provide input on all strategic initiatives within the company to enhance sales volumes.
  • Engage with Advisers to identify sales opportunities and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Communicate the necessary expectations of all parties involved to meet collaborative goals.
  • Manage and drive the turnaround time in terms of targets to ensure a high sales performance within the region.
  • Benchmark productivity of the region against industry standards and create measures to improve productivity.
  • Resolve adviser complaints regarding sales and service.

Minimum Requirements: 

An insurance qualification would be advantageous (RE1, RE5, Certificate in Financial Planning, Diploma in Wealth Planning, CFP or similar.)
