About the job International Financial Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical International Financial Manager to oversee and protect the Group's offshore financial integrity across multiple jurisdictions. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving world-class financial controls, treasury management, compliance, and international reporting while supporting the Group's long-term investment and growth objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks across international entities.
- Oversee accounting systems, reporting processes, and user access controls to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.
- Manage the full external audit process for offshore entities, including the preparation of Annual Financial Statements and auditor liaison.
- Monitor and manage global cash flow and liquidity across multiple jurisdictions.
- Authorize and oversee international payment releases through secure banking platforms.
- Research and recommend investment opportunities to maximize returns on surplus funds while maintaining appropriate liquidity levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with offshore banks and financial institutions.
- Analyse entity performance and provide recommendations on dividend strategies and capital allocation.
- Conduct financial, tax, legal, and market research for offshore acquisitions, developments, and new investment opportunities.
- Prepare detailed funding and financing packs for international lenders and financial institutions.
- Review financing agreements and term sheets, advising Directors on financial risk and funding structures.
- Manage compliance reporting and banking covenant requirements, including submissions to the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
- Oversee international tax compliance across offshore jurisdictions, ensuring accurate and timeous submissions.
- Assist with tax planning initiatives, provisional tax calculations, and identifying opportunities for legal tax optimization.
- Remain up to date with IFRS for SMEs, global tax legislation, and international property regulations.
- Deliver monthly management reports with meaningful financial analysis and commentary.
- Monitor development and capital expenditure costs to ensure projects remain within approved budgets.
- Provide financial insight and strategic support to Directors to assist with long-term business planning and investment decisions.
Personal Attributes:
- Chartered Accountant (SA) or equivalent international qualification such as ACCA.
- Minimum 3–5 years post-article experience in a senior financial or managerial role.
- Previous experience within property development, international investments, or multinational structures highly advantageous.
- Experience working with offshore entities, international tax jurisdictions, and SARB applications preferred.
- Strong understanding of IFRS for SMEs and international financial reporting standards.
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex financial data into strategic insights.
- Experience managing multi-currency environments and international financial operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, including managing remote teams.
- Proactive approach to identifying financial risks and operational inefficiencies.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
