The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Supply / Contract Specialist to support capital project delivery at a Tier 1 mining operation located at in Central Queensland.
This role will play a key part in administering contracts, managing procurement processes, and supporting project controls across a portfolio of surface and underground capital works. You will work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors, and Commercial teams to ensure contracts and supply activities are executed efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with project budgets and schedules.

Initial 12-months+ (likely 2 year capital works program)

8 days on / 6 days off FIFO roster

Direct flights to site from: Cairns, Townsville or Brisbane

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Capital Projects Lead, you will:

Administer construction and service contracts across capital projects
- Prepare and manage purchase orders, service agreements, and contract documentation
- Support tendering processes including scope compilation, evaluation, and award documentation

Monitor contractor performance against contractual obligations

Manage variations, claims, extensions of time, and change control processes

Track commitments, accruals, and forecast spend in line with approved budgets

Maintain accurate documentation and contract registers

Liaise with site procurement, finance, and project delivery teams

Ensure compliance with site governance, statutory and commercial frameworks

Support reporting requirements for project cost control and commercial performance
About You
You are a detail-oriented commercial professional with experience supporting capital projects within mining or heavy industrial environments.
You will demonstrate:

5+ years experience in contract administration, procurement, or supply role
- Experience working within mining, resources, or major infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of contract terms, variations, and commercial risk management
- Experience administering construction or engineering contracts (e.g. AS4000, AS4902 or similar)
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office systems
- Strong cost tracking, reporting, and documentation control capability
- Ability to work closely with project teams in a fast-paced site environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, Law, or related discipline will be highly regarded.
