Job Description: The Project Engineer / Site Engineer will be an integral part of the Capital Projects Civil team. The person will be responsible for the management of minor projects, while assisting Project Managers on larger projects. The role will involve close coordination with design engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Coordinate and monitor day-to-day operations
- Ensure that all civil works are completed as per the project specifications, on time, and within budget;
- Assist in the development and review of documentation including scope of works, project schedules, budgets.
- Respond to inquiries, manage correspondence and documentation control
- Assist project financials including raising purchase orders (Pos) and tracking project budgets
- Work closely with the Project Manager and internal stakeholders to review project progress and report issues or delays;
- Manage on-site construction activities, ensuring that all work is being completed in accordance with design specifications.
- Ensure that all materials and equipment are available on-site as needed.
- Resolve any site-related problems or discrepancies that may arise during construction
- Provide technical guidance to site teams and contractors, addressing any engineering challenges that may arise during the construction process.
- Review construction drawings and specifications to ensure the project is being executed as per the approved plans.
- Participate in the design review process and provide recommendations for improvements or changes to enhance project outcomes.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to safety procedures and compliance.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Prepare and deliver regular progress reports, including updates on cost, schedule, and quality control.
- Address any concerns or queries from stakeholders promptly and professionally.
- Monitor and control the quality of construction materials and workmanship.
- Ensure that all testing and inspections are carried out at various stages of the project.
- Implement corrective actions when quality issues arise.

Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum +5 years experience in similar Civil Engineering role
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and engineering best practices.
