Job Title: Project Manager / Site Engineer 

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager / Site Engineer to join our contracting team to work client side. In this role, you will manage minor civil projects and support Project Managers on larger initiatives, ensuring timely delivery within budget and to high-quality standards. You will coordinate closely with design engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to drive project success across all phases.

Roster: 4 days on / 3 days off - Cairns or Darwin Based

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Coordination: Oversee daily operations, assist with scope, schedule, budget development, manage correspondence, and track project financials including purchase orders.

• Site Management: Lead on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specs, timely material availability, and resolving site issues promptly.

• Technical Support: Provide engineering guidance, review drawings, participate in design reviews, and maintain safety and compliance documentation.

• Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams; deliver regular progress updates on cost, schedule, and quality.

• Quality Assurance: Monitor construction quality, ensure testing and inspections, and implement corrective actions as required.

What You'll Bring

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience

• Strong civil engineering knowledge with hands-on construction and project management expertise

• Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate across functions

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

• Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex technical concepts clearly

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, thriving under pressure
