Job Title: Senior Project Engineer Electrical / Project Manager

Roster: FIFO 4 days on / 3 days off (Darwin / Cairns)
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 12-hour day shifts only

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the successful delivery of complex electrical capital projects within the mining industry. This role involves full project lifecycle management from initial front-end loading (FEL) and design development, through execution, to final project handover. You will work closely with design vendors, contracts teams, and contractors to ensure projects meet scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical capital projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery

• Develop and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation plans

• Collaborate with design vendors for engineering and design development

• Coordinate contract development and vendor onboarding with the contracts team

• Oversee contractor management and quality assurance throughout project execution

• Support multiple projects and work fronts, including supervising and mentoring site supervisors

• Foster and maintain a strong safety culture on all projects

What Were Looking For

• Minimum 10 years experience as an electrical engineer delivering complex projects in the mining sector

• Proven ability to manage and deliver large-scale electrical projects from start to finish

• Strong understanding of mining, engineering, and construction industry practices

• Proficient in project management methodologies and tools to track cost, schedule, and quality

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and leading teams effectively

• Commitment to maintaining and promoting a safe work environment
