About the Role
Proactive Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Performance Marketing Specialist (Paid Media) for our client, a leading hospitality sales and marketing company based in Durbanville, Cape Town.
We are seeking a commercially minded, results-driven digital marketer who can plan, execute, and optimise paid media campaigns that drive direct bookings, reduce OTA dependency, and deliver measurable ROI for a diverse hospitality portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with hotels, lodges, and resorts across Africa, contributing directly to revenue growth through data-led performance marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute integrated paid media strategies across Google Ads, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), LinkedIn, and hospitality platforms such as TripAdvisor, Booking.com, and Expedia.
- Align campaigns with client objectives, seasonal demand, promotions, and direct booking growth targets.
Execution & Optimisation
- Plan, build, and manage PPC, display, retargeting, and paid social campaigns.
- Monitor daily performance and optimise campaigns to achieve agreed KPIs.
- Conduct A/B and multivariate testing on creative, copy, audiences, and bidding strategies.
Creative & Content Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with social media and creative teams to produce high-performing ad copy, visuals, and landing pages.
- Ensure paid media activity supports and amplifies organic marketing efforts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work alongside Sales and OTA teams to align campaigns with rate strategies, promotions, and distribution objectives.
- Act as a central point of coordination to ensure seamless campaign delivery across departments.
Budget Management
- Own and manage paid media budgets, ensuring efficient spend allocation and maximum ROI.
- Track, analyse, and justify channel investment through clear performance reporting.
Reporting & Insights
- Prepare and present monthly performance reports focused on ROI, direct bookings, and OTA reliance reduction.
- Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for both clients and internal stakeholders.
Innovation & Market Awareness
- Stay up to date with industry trends, platform updates, and competitive activity.
- Proactively introduce new tools, platforms, and tactics to enhance campaign performance.
General Requirements
- Willingness to travel to new and existing clients when required.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date client documentation and reporting standards.
- Apply best practices and continuously identify areas for optimisation and improvement.
- Manage workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
- Identify and communicate potential revenue opportunities and risk factors.
- Ensure all client project management boards and workflows are kept current and well maintained.
