Front of House & Ranger Position (Couple)

About the Role

Our client is a Private Safari Lodge in the Klaserie Nature Reserve is seeking a passionate and professional couple to join our team in a dual role encompassing Front of House Management and Field Guiding (Ranger Duties). This position is ideal for an experienced, self-motivated couple who thrive in a remote, Big 5 safari environment and are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements (Both Individuals Must Meet Where Applicable):

Ranger Candidate:

• Full Trails Guide Qualification or nearing completion

• FGASA Level 1 or 2

• ARH (Advanced Rifle Handling)

• Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)

• First Aid Level 1

• Grade 12 or equivalent

• Minimum 2 years guiding experience in a 4-star or higher Big 5 lodge

• Strong communication and interpretive skills

• Excellent guest engagement and safety awareness

Front of House Candidate:

• Grade 12 or equivalent

• Computer literate (MS Office, reservations systems preferred)

• Strong administrative and organizational skills

• Exceptional hosting and interpersonal skills

• At least 2 years experience in a similar lodge setting

• Confident, well-presented, and well-spoken

• Ability to manage guest relations, check-ins/outs, and lodge operations smoothly

Accommodation: On-site private accommodation is provided
Leave Cycle: 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off (travel to/from the reserve during off-time is at own cost)
