They are seeking a skilled Sommelier to join their hospitality team, bringing expertise in wine service, cellar management, and guest engagement to enhance the luxury dining experience.
Role Overview
The Sommelier will be responsible for curating, managing, and presenting the reserves wine collection while ensuring an elevated and personalised experience for all guests. The role requires a deep knowledge of wines, exceptional service skills, and the ability to work within a high-end hospitality team in a remote, luxury safari environment.
Key Responsibilities

Curate and manage the reserves wine cellar, including sourcing, purchasing, and maintaining inventory.

Provide expert wine pairing recommendations to guests and coordinate with chefs for fine dining experiences.

Serve wines professionally during meals, wine tastings, and special events.

Maintain wine storage conditions to preserve quality and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Train and mentor hospitality staff in wine service, tasting techniques, and guest engagement.

Develop and maintain relationships with wine suppliers and distributors.

Monitor and manage stock levels, prepare reports, and assist with budgeting for the wine program.

Deliver personalised, engaging, and memorable wine experiences for guests.
Experience

Minimum 35 years experience as a Sommelier in fine dining or luxury hospitality.

Proven experience in wine pairing, cellar management, and luxury guest service.

Experience with procurement and supplier relationship management.

Knowledge of local and international wines, spirits, and gourmet food pairings.
